Sarah Allan is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Adelaide Crows in the AFL Women’s competition. She was drafted in the 2016 AFLW and made her league debut in Round One of the 2017 season, helping the Crows win the premiership that same year. Sarah has developed into one of the competition’s premier key defenders, known for her intercept marking, reading of play, and composure under pressure. She has been a three-time AFLW premiership player with the Crows, contributing to their success across multiple seasons. Earning multiple All-Australian selections (including 2020, 2021 and Season Six), Sarah has been recognised as one of the league’s best defenders. She has also been honoured within her club, finishing runner-up in the Adelaide Club Champion count and winning the Best Defensive Player award in her breakout seasons. In addition to her on-field performance, Sarah serves as co-captain of the Adelaide Crows AFLW team, providing leadership and mentoring for younger players.
